Can you run a local service business from your laptop?

You can manage much of a locker-based service from a laptop — bookings, payments, access codes, notifications and reporting — but not all of it. Collections, cleaning or repairs, restocking, faults and some customer help still happen on site, through you or partners.

Remote versus on-site work

Plan both columns before you launch.

Customer notificationsRestocking rental items
Reporting and usage dataClearing jams and hardware faults

Design the physical side first

Decide who does each on-site task, how quickly they respond and what it costs. A remote dashboard is only as reliable as the person who can reach the locker when something goes wrong.

Choose the customer experience

Launch Lockers can connect to a resident app, including a white-label app with your own branding, or operate drop-off and collection purely through a self-serve kiosk. Open API integrations and a default interface for residents and buildings are available. Stripe payment gateway connection supports customer payments; agree the setup for your service.

Common questions

What can I manage from a laptop?
Bookings, payments, access, notifications, reporting and most customer messages.
Who handles faults when I'm not nearby?
Agree a local contact — a partner, contractor or the host — and a response time before launch.
Can I run several locations remotely?
Yes, once one site runs reliably. Each new site needs its own on-site arrangements.
