Repair drop-off lockers for trainers, phones and laptops

Customers rarely have time to visit a repair shop during working hours. A repair collection service lets them drop a pair of trainers, a phone or a laptop into a locker in their building or office, and collect it once a partner has repaired it.

Pick the repair category

Trainer cleaning and shoe repairs, mobile phone screens and batteries, laptop repairs and tailoring all fit a drop-off and collection model. Each needs a different partner and turnaround, so start with one.

Record item condition

Phones and laptops are valuable and may hold personal data. Record the item, its condition and the customer's consent at drop-off, and agree who is responsible while the item is in transit. Never ask for passcodes through the locker process; let the repair partner handle that directly.

Who pays

Charge the customer a collection fee on top of the repair price, take a margin from the repairer, or offer the service to a building or employer as a resident or staff benefit.

Next step: Speak to one local repairer about a collection round from one building.
