A first business after university: build on a problem you know
Graduates can start a business by investigating problems they have seen first-hand. On or near a campus those might include laundry collection, borrowing sports equipment or collecting repaired items. A locker service is worth exploring when the handover is part of the problem.
Familiarity helps you ask better questions
You may know which clubs struggle with equipment access or how residents collect laundry. Speak to current students and the organisation responsible for the location — their needs and permissions matter more than your own experience.
Account for the academic calendar
Demand changes during holidays, exams and summer. Estimate activity across a whole year rather than projecting a busy term week into every month.
Find a manageable first version
One club, one laundry partner or one residence is a clearer test than a campus-wide launch. Decide who does fulfilment and what happens if you move away after graduating.
